House of Coffee

Here is another solo song from my concert at the Playground on Fire festival. This song is best listened to with a cup of coffee in the one hand and a playing card in the other.

Ode To Socks at The Old Firestation

The song 'Ode To Socks' was inspired by Pablo Neruda's poem of the same name.
It is a mixture of three things... my own take on Pablo's marvellous poem;
the fact that Andrew gave me three pairs of socks (because I was always wearing his black ones);
a dream I had, in which we went on trip on flying sailing ship, accompanied by Billy Connolly, to see the ice bears.

This live rendition was performed at The Playground on Fire Festival, mentioned in the previous post. It features the ever sublime playing and improvisational talents of Bruno Guastalla and Késia Decoté. Be prepared for a large dollop of mayhem!

Sandman at The Old Firestation

Story Songs, Bagatelles and Further Curiosities had its first performance at the  Playground on Fire Festival.

This is 'Sandman' (solo song).

The show is a mixture of solo performance and collaboration with guest artists.
I am playing with different line ups and cross genre and art form collaborations.
For this performance I was delighted and excited to have (the fabulous) Késia Decoté and Bruno Guastalla as special guests on piano and cello.  (video coming soon).

The next performance of songs from SSBFC is on Friday 10th July.  I am again delighted to be performing with Késia at Nothing Matters PV Performance Night at Oxford Brookes.
