Big and Small; Something and Nothing.

Wow!   What fun I had and what a gorgeous audience!

Friday was the first performance of Roost (the One-Woman-Steampunk-Fantasy-Musical) at Common Ground.

The Riverhorse Express lives in the swamp and is a postman.   He wears a harness, on which is embroidered this slogan:'Riverhorse Express: No Journey is Too Short; No letter is too small.'

His second favourite pastime is delivering the occasional short surreal lecture.    Here, we hear him expounding on the difference between big, small, something and nothing.

A huge thanks to everyone who came!

A huge shout-out to Common Ground

A huge shout-out to Common Ground! Thank you to Alex and the whole Common Ground team for being so fabulous and supportive. My show: Roost-A-One-Woman-Steampunk-Fantasy-Musical, was performed on Friday. Ooooo look, there's the poster on the pillar the week before the show. It was part of the Common Ground Sounds Initiative. See you next time!

A magnificent Rhodes Road Piano with a Perspex Cover

I bought this 54 key Rhodes during lockdown...I thought, if you can't do something a bit crazy during a pandemic, then what is the world coming to?

I love this keyboard! It's not a pristine instrument, so it invites being played with abandon and not caution.   It's pure joy.

Recently, I took it to Ryan (in London) for a little TLC, as some of the notes were bit out of tune and the top notes weren't sparkling.  (The top notes sparkle now!)

It's about to become my Rhodes piano for the road. Next Friday's the day of my show! https://tinyurl.com/RoostCommonGround

To top the whole thing off, I'd always had a fantasy about a clear cover.   All of those amazing tone bars need to be seen.   I happened to mention this to Andrew and he made me this cover.   What a lucky woman I am.
